How does Care2Craft work?

I offer weekly or fortnightly visits to your home or care home providing an opportunity for compassion and connection through meaningful activities such as crafting, playing games or going for short walks.

I always arrive with a changing selection of crafts, games, puzzles and things of interest that I have prepared for us. You can unpack and look through them all and are free to choose one or more for us to do together depending on the time we have. You may wish to just chat over a cuppa, that’s fine too!

I can work with adults of any age and will endeavor to tailor our crafts, games and activities to individual needs, interests and capabilities.

I work mostly in the S6, S10 and S11 postcode areas of Sheffield.

Limitations of service

  • I’m not able to provide personal care, so you’ll need to arrange for a qualified carer for that.

  • I’m unable to assist with or administer any medication.

  • Unfortunately, I can’t hold onto keys for your home, but I’d be happy to let myself in if you have a key-safe or keypad entry system in place.

  • I’m unable to work in homes where cigarettes or e-cigarettes are smoked at any time.

Other terms and conditions are outlined in the contract agreement that we will sign before we begin working together.

Fees

All appointments last one hour and cost £30 per appointment.

I may need to increase my fee from time to time and I will discuss this with you in advance.

Most activity costs are included within the hourly fee.

Appointments must be paid for in advance and can be rescheduled or cancelled with a full refund until 24 hours before the appointment time.

An initial appointment of 30 minutes is available free of charge for us to meet and discuss your needs or those of a family member.

You don’t need to be creative, good at art or finish any of the activities we do together; the magic is in the connection that happens while we are ‘doing’.
